With Halloween and Trick or Treating knocking at our door, we thought it would be a great time to talk to the kids about how to keep themselves safe while they are out and about. Officer Jim from the California Highway Patrol came and talked all about safety. Issues mentioned were making sure to buckle up in the car, to remind grown ups that they cannot talk on the phone while driving, and what to do if they see a stranger. All the kids were made Jr. Officers and given their own sticker badges and even got to slide through and look at the patrol car! We really wanted to make it fun for the kids but really stress the importance of keeping them safe. Be sure to ask your kids what they learned!!
